Finding your inner strength...

What doesn't kill you...

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

We've all heard it, we've probably said it easily enough ...

but what about when it's your life ? Your lot?

It's then a much harder statement to swallow... when it's YOUR life/health/marriage that is falling apart.

We seem to think we are strong...

...until something hits us ...

that takes our breath away...

that makes us easily aware of our weakness, our fragility, our vulnerability...

Vulnerability.

The scariest thing we all 'try' to avoid but eventually I think everyone ends up with a bit of it.

Some of us get the crash course over night it seems!?

Being vulnerable is frightening...

...especially if we have previously felt so 'self-reliant'.

Needing to rely on 'other people' physically, financially or emotionally is down right awkward.

But the lesson to be learnt is this...

God demands that we always rely on Him.

Genesis 50:20- You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

Finding New Strength ...

Practical ways to feel stronger.

*Fill your mind with the good stuff. Gods promises. Know them, repeat them to yourself always...and especially when overwhelming 'hopelessness' approaches .

*Excercise

Do what you can-as often as you can.

*Keep hydrated and when you think you've had enough...drink some more!

*Eat. Sleep. Routine.

(Our 24hr frenzied lifestyle is just not the pattern God set and we suffer because of it. Be really mindful about this. Set boundaries-because there are not any.)

*Be kind to yourself.

A little goes a long way.

*Have Fun!!!!

Laugh. Get some good company or just remind yourself to lighten up.

I have managed to laugh in some of the most awful circumstances and it always helped!

*PRAY *GETPRAYER *BELIEVE

'Those who hope in The Lord WILL renew their strength.' Get ready to soar...
