A Tranquil Home

Creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in your home shouldn't be difficult if your mind is in that headspace.

What you are and how you think will determine the very tone of your home.

I want home to feel relaxed, yet happy  and energising. You should always want to come home.

Grab a pen and your fave notepad and write down what 'Home' means to you.

This will give you an idea of what you would like in your own home and whether you're achieving that or not.

It maybe fond memories of your Parents or Grandparents home...this may produce a deep desire for a vintage/retro vibe.

Maybe it's a chic hotel you've visited and the glamour swept you off your feet so you'll want a sophisticated tone and almost an 'unlived' in appearrance with just chic, beautiful essentials around you.

Maybe it's the dream of a country cottage from an Enid Blyton story with roses around the door and a forest backdrop! (This may mean planting an apple tree and getting some chickens !)

I think I'm a little of all of the above!

Home Sweet Home 🌷

What makes a house feel like a home?

When I walk into my home I want it to smell welcoming ...that could mean that we baked something amazing earlier or it may mean we have the best reed diffuser ever!

Music 🎶

Music sets a great tone for your home and especially if you're inviting people over...anything from easy jazz to pop ...what you play informs your visitors of the mood you're in and the mood you've set for the event. I love a good Christmas party ...in fact I'll do another post about that sometime !

What means home to you? How do you want your home to look? How do you want your home to feel?

Home is such an individual thing! Make sure you're creating the home YOU love! Not just a home to impress other people but a home you LOVE living in.

Home is the closet thing to Heaven on earth! I think our longing for home is our longing for peace so be sure to create that peace for yourself, for your family, for your friends, for your dog! ☕️🌷🎶

Leave a comment on what Home means to you !
